Legendary movie director Tade Ogidan is teaming up with screen legends in the production of new movie titled “Gold Statue” which is one of the most-star studded production for the new cinema era.
The movie will be Ogidan’s second collaboration with RMD and Sola Sobowale starring as couples as they did in the 1998 classic blockbuster, ‘Diamond Ring’ exactly 21years ago.
‘Gold Statue’, a collaboration between OGD Pictures, Solution Media and InfoTech Limited, is Ogidan’s first production for the new cinema era.
The movie which has been described as a comedy adventure promises to take viewers through series of emotions, intrigues, suspense and drama. “Gold Statue” follows the adventure of two young men, Wale (GabrielAfolayan) and Chike (KunleRemi) in search of a ‘Gold Statue’ believed to have been a deity inherited by their generation. In trying to locate where the supposed ‘Gold Statue’ is located, they go through a series of unimaginable ordeal and put themselves through some ridiculous painful situations that leave their parents RMD and Shola Sobowale shocked. Is there truly a ‘Gold Statue’ or is it a myth? Anticipate this movie to find out.
‘Gold Statue’ also featured some of the cast of ‘Diamond Ring’ including Tunji Bamishigbin and Nobert Young as well as other actors and actresses such as Femi Durojaiye, Tina Mba, Norbert Young, Ali Baba, Gabriel Afolayan, Kunle Remi, Rycardo Agbo, Kelvin Ikeduba, Kunle Fawole, Francis Onwochie, Greg Ojefua, Etinosa Idemudia, Adeniyi Johnson, Woli Arole, Bisola Ayeola, Kenny Blaq, Judith Audu and Tunrayo Adeyemi.
The movie is scheduled to open in cinemas on May 17, 2019.
